Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Times asked their readers which team they'd be pulling for in the NBA Finals — the Miami Heat (with some of the league's most hated players) or the Dallas Mavericks (the team that put an end to the Laker dynasty).
For Laker fans, it has the makings of a series where you'd hope both teams could lose. But when fans were asked for their opinion, they seemed to overwhelmingly choose the Mavericks as the lesser of two evils.

MIAMI — Dwyane Wade&39;s night began with a hug for his mom. It ended with an embrace from LeBron James.
MIAMI — Dwyane Wade's night began with a hug for his mom. It ended with an embrace from LeBron James.
Nearby, Chris Bosh held up three fingers.
No explanation necessary. The Miami Heat are three wins from the reason why the Big Three came together in the first place.

If you looked quickly at the beginning of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics, you'd probably recognize the attempted “whiteout” going on. As teams often do, Heat fans were either.
As teams often do, Heat fans were either encouraged to wear white to American Airlines Center or they were given white T-shirts upon arrival.
Apparently, the fans aren&39;t the only ones in on the action — the actual seats were, too.
It&39;s a solid tactic when you think about it. Seats draped in white blend in pretty well when everyone else is wearing white, too. However, when cameras zoomed in, multiple shots showed empty seats draped in white sheets throughout the arena as the first quarter began. No empty seats were more obvious than those in the first row right next to the benches.
