LAS VEGAS (AP) — Two players were eliminated Saturday after more than three hours of no-limit Texas Hold 'em at the World Series of Poker, increasing guaranteed paydays for the seven players left in the tournament.

Canadian poker player Matthew Jarvis came one card from doubling his stack through Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi but was eliminated in eighth place.

Cuong “Soi” Nguyen, the oldest finalist at 37 and the table's only amateur, was the first eliminated after gambling with an ace-king combination just before minimum bets were set to rise. He lost against Jason Senti's pocket queens.

Senti was nearly eliminated just before players took their second break of the day, but consecutive diamonds gave him a flush and brought the players far closer in chips than at the start of play.

The show ends on NBC on Friday night but will live on in cable repeats.

ESPN Classic has picked up the repeats of the five-season series, which has been lauded for its realistic depictions of football, family and life in the heartland. After a Season 1 marathon on Thursday and Friday, the episodes will be shown on Thursday nights beginning July 21. They will also be broadcast on the Longhorn Network, an ESPN channel for Texas sports that starts in late August.

As a welcoming gift of sorts, the main ESPN channel will show the first two episodes of &8220;Friday Night Lights&8221; on Tuesday at 8 and 9 p.m. Connor Schell, who oversees ESPN Classic, said the show would enhance the channel&8217;s &8220;mix of long-form sports storytelling,&8221; adding, &8220;We see this as an opportunity to deliver the series to a whole new audience.&8221;

The final episode of the series will be broadcast by NBC on Friday.

It was TGIF with NKOTBSB — the cross-pollination of &39;80s boy band NKOTB with their &39;90s counterpart Backstreet Boys. The groups brought it on the &39;Today&39;

The audience was filled with screaming girls, a mix of women who grew up on NKOTB and BSB, and those who are experiencing them for the first time!

NKOTB went first, performing their massive hit, &8216;You Got It (The Right Stuff).&8217; They wore coordinated military jackets and of course, vocalist Joe McIntyre was there, even though his wife just gave birth to their third child earlier this week!

The Kids also did their signature dance, where they kick their legs back and forth like a pendulum. It felt like 1989 all over again, in the best possible way. It was a healthy dose of some much-appreciated nostalgia and it&8217;s a testament to the well-crafted pop songs these talented young men sing; the songs and the performers have held up after all these years. Singer Jordan Knight looked like he was having the most fun, walking on the part of the stage that dipped into the crowd.

Playing the smoking hot vampire Eric Northman is humbling, to say the least, for Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard. Unfortunately, Skargard isnt in the mood to kiss and tell. He will say, however, that sex this year is, um, a little more down to earth. I did some crazy stuff last year. I almost had sex with a Greek man and I was covered in his goo. Everything from here on is pretty childish. Everythings quite innocent.

Many Facebook users, for instance, find it difficult to limit their status updates to small groups of people so that their coworkersaren't exposed to party photos or their parents aren't privy to flirtatious posts on their “wall.” Though Facebook has tried to address this with a much-hyped “Groups” feature, it's not clear how many people use it.

Gundotra's criticism seems aimed squarely at Facebook, the world's largest online socia network. Facebook has become synonymous with online sharing since its founding seven years ago.

Baclofen (brand names Kemstro, Lioresal, and Gablofen) is a derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). In addition, research has shown baclofen to be effective in the.

It is an agonist for the GABAB receptors.12 Its beneficial effects in spasticity result from actions at spinal and supraspinal sites. Baclofen can also be used to treat hiccups, and has been shown to prevent rises in body temperature induced by the drug MDMA in rats.3

In addition, research has shown baclofen to be effective in the treatment of alcohol dependence and withdrawal, by inhibiting both withdrawal symptoms and cravings.45

A very beneficial property of baclofen is that tolerance does not seem to occur to any significant degree baclofen retains its therapeutic anti-spasmodic effects even after many years of continued use.6 However, oral dosage must be carefully regulated; significantly high doses of the drug, particularly 80 milligrams per day or higher, can cause excessive drowsiness that can interfere with daily function.

Review of K2 lockjaw ski poles for backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering.

I reviewed the original aluminum K2 Lockjaw ski poles last year, and they worked well. Mine are now a little beat up, and K2 has improved the poles quite a bit for the next iteration &8212; so time for another review.

I tried out the carbon version this time around. Aluminum poles have the advantage of bending instead of breaking, while carbon poles are stronger and lighter but can splinter into sharp shards when they do break. Yep, tradeoffs. The k2 lockjaw has an aluminum upper section, with a large diameter carbon lower section. Features abound: built in inclinometer on one pole; lower sections screw together to create an avalanche probe, markings measure snow depth; super comfy straps work well for hauling yourself uphill when your legs give out.
